History

Our business began in downtown Cedar Rapids back in 1961 with Chuck and Evelyn Erb. Chuck sold typewriters, adding machines and calculators.

Through the years, Norelco dictation equipment and Kardex Systems for filing and storage of records were added. As the electronic office equipment developed, Sharp calculators were added to the product line.

In 1981, Chuck retired and the company changed ownership. Larry Erb, Mike Brogan and Gary Denison took over and continued to expand the company.

In 1990, we expanded our solution sets to include IBM, Compaq and HP computers. During this time we also became the first company in Eastern Iowa to represent IBM typewriters. The customer base, number of employees and revenue continued to expand.

Over the past 43 years, we have been in four facilities throughout Cedar Rapids with our newest location, built in 1998, at 4935 Bowling Street SW.

Today the number of employees is over 40 and many of our employees have been with us for over 15 years.

While our focus solutions have changed from typewriters and dictation equipment to where we are today, our main focus remains the same…our customers.
