Need To
Place A Service Call?
You are
receiving an error message and need help fast. Before
you call our office, please have the following
information available so Dispatch can better meet your
needs:
- Your
name, company name, your department and phone
number.
- Make,
model and serial # of the problem machine.
- If you
are receiving an error message, record the exact
message. Please give a detailed description of the
issue.
- Any
recent changes made to the system.
Then
make your call.
- Call
Erb’s Business Machines, Inc. at 319-364-5159, or
1-800-369-3727. Our fax number is 319-364-2738. You
may also email us via our online form at
service@erbs.com
- Ask
for the Service Department. The Dispatcher will
answer.
- Give
the Dispatcher a brief, but detailed description of
your problem so it may be directed to the proper
technician or manager. If you wish to leave a
message for a technician or manager, please do so after
asking the Dispatcher to place a service call. If
the call is not entered through Dispatch it may
delay the response time. Also, it is important that
you relate the urgency of the call to the Dispatcher
so it is treated accordingly.
- Once
the call has been placed, Dispatch determines the
required skill set and assigns it to a technician.
-
Response time will vary based on the request.

Is VoIP Right for Your Business?
More and more businesses tired of racking up high telecommunications
bills are turning to the Internet for their phone service.
Voice over Internet
Protocol (VoIP) services enable businesses to conduct calls across
the same network to access the Internet and get email – and at a
fraction of the cost of traditional voice networks. However, VoIP
developers have been focused on quality and reliability versus
security. Therefore, if you choose to adopt VoIP, it is up to you to
take the proper steps to secure it.
Background and
benefits
The technology behind VoIP has been around for a few years; early
incarnations of VoIP were plagued by spotty service, muddled and
dropped calls. Only in the last few years has VoIP service improved
enough to make it sufficiently reliable and stable for business use.
In fact, businesses are finding that a well-planned and implemented
VoIP system can provide call quality and reliability that rivals
mobile phone or landline calls.
